• A list of all meetings between the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Humza Yousaf, and NHS Chairs in 2022
• Minutes from all of those meetings
• Dates of all meetings of NHS Chief Executives in 2022
• Minutes of all meetings of the NHS Chief Executives in 2022, which haven’t already been published by the Scottish Government here.

Response

In relation to the first part of your request and clarification:

The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Humza Yousaf chaired a joint meeting of NHS Chairs and NHS Chief Executives on 28 March 2022. A copy of these minutes can be accessed here. There was meant to be another joint meeting of NHS Chairs and Chief Executives on 9 November 2022, but due to Parliamentary Business, this meeting was cancelled. The Cabinet Secretary has not met collectively with NHS Chairs on any other occasion during 2022.

In relation to the second part of your request:

We have provided dates of NHS Chief Executives Business Meetings, chaired by Caroline Lamb, DG Health and Social Care and Chief Executive NHS Scotland, in 2022 as follows:

• 12 January 2022 (this meeting was cancelled due to pressures in the system at the time)
• 9 March 2022 (minutes published)
• 11 May 2022 (minutes published)
• 15 June 2022 (this meeting was cancelled following 11 May 2022 meeting)
• 14 September 2022 (this meeting was cancelled in respect of Her Majesty the Queen passing away
• 12 October 2022 (minutes will be published after the next meeting scheduled in January 2023).

In relation to the third part of your request:

We have provided dates of NHS Chairs Meetings, chaired by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, in 2022 as follows:

• 30 May 2022 – was originally meant to be 23 May (minutes published)
• 27 June 2022 (minutes published)
• 5 September 2022 – was originally meant to be 22 August (minutes published)
• 24 October 2022 – (minutes published)
• 12 December 2022 – (minutes won’t be published until after next meeting scheduled in January 2023).
