Letter from First Minister to Paul McLennan MSP

Dear Paul,

Thank you for your letter and our discussion. I appreciate and respect your reasons to stand down from Government. I would like to thank you again for your service as Housing Minister. You are right to point to the Housing Bill as an achievement and I know it has the potential to keep rents affordable, give tenancies more security and, introduce a prevention duty.

As a councillor and MSP you have always worked diligently and been committed to your constituents and I know you will continue that important role for the people of East Lothian.
