Zambia Development Programme

Zambia 2017 to 2022

• 9 March 2017: funding round opens
• 4 May 2017: closing date for submission of concept notes
• 1 June 2017: result of concept notes assessment
• 29 June 2017: Closing date for full applications
• week commencing 7 August 2017: applicants due to be notified, with public announcement thereafter
• 1 October 2017: projects start, running until March 2022

Next round:

Zambia 2022+ is likely to open 2021, for projects to start in 2022.

Rwanda Development Programme

Rwanda 2017 to 2022

• 9 March 2017: funding round opens
• 4 May 2017: closing date for submission of concept notes
• 1 June 2017: result of concept notes assessment
• 29 June 2017: Closing date for full applications
• week commencing 7 August 2017: applicants due to be notified, with public announcement thereafter
• 1 October 2017: projects start, running until March 2022

Next round

Rwanda 2022+ is likely to open 2021, for projects to start in 2022.

Malawi Development Programme

Malawi 2015 to 2018

Projects in first final year, subject to any extensions for up to six months.

Next round:

Malawi 2018+ is likely to open October 2017, for projects to commence October 2018. This funding round will follow the same format as the recent Zambia and Rwanda funding rounds, of a two-stage process (concept note and full application).

Sub-Saharan Africa Programme

Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) 2012 to 2015

Projects are now complete (extended 2015 to 2016, with further extension announced 9 March 2016 for an additional year to March 2017).

SSA Programme has now closed. Our Zambia Development Programme and Rwanda Development Programme have replaced this programme.

South Asia Programme

South Asia (SA) 2013 to 2016

Projects are now complete (extension announced 9 March 2016 for one year to March 2017).

SA Programme has now closed. Our Pakistan Development Programme has replaced this programme.

Small Grants Programme

Our Small Grants Programme (capacity building grants, feasibility grants and project grants) has been running since April 2014.

Grants under the fourth year of the Programme commenced in April 2017.

Small Grants Programme 2018+

• 2 September 2017: Funding round opens
• 10 October 2017: Info session with Corra, Scottish Government and the Alliance at Methodist Church, Nicolson Square, Edinburgh
• 13 November: Closing date for applications
• February 2018: Announcement of funding
• 1 April 2018: Projects/grants start
