2. What date the Scottish Government received any draft versions of the Independent Report into the Fiscal Framework

Response

1.    The Scottish Government received the final version of the Fiscal Framework Independent Report on 5 December 2022.
2.    The Scottish Government received draft versions of the Fiscal Framework Independent Report on 10 October 2022; and 8 November 2022.

The report was launched on 27 June 2022, with the terms of reference made available on both Scottish and UK Government websites - https://www.gov.scot/publications/independent-report-preceding-the- fiscal-framework-review-terms-of-reference/

This was followed by a public call for evidence which ran from 29 July – 28 September 2022 - https://consult.gov.scot/fiscal-policy-and-constitution/fiscal-framework-review/

We intend to fully publish the Independent Report. However, publication requires joint agreement with the UK Government. Discussions are currently ongoing to reach agreement on a timeline for publication.
