Independence referendum: Supreme Court referral costs

Costs associated with the Lord Advocate’s referral to the Supreme Court.


The Lord Advocate referred to the Supreme Court the devolution issue and question of whether legislation providing for an independence referendum would relate to a reserved matter in terms of the Scotland Act 1998. The Supreme Court handed down its judgment on 23 November 2022.
