HM Fire Service Inspectorate: Twitter policy

Information setting out how the Inspectorate uses Twitter.


HM Fire Service Inspectorate’s Twitter account @HMFSI_Scotland is managed by the Fire Service Inspectorate team. 

Tweets will be about: 

  • key publications and consultations 
  • news releases 
  • video, audio and imagery 
  • activities of the Inspectorate team 
  • sector developments and issues 

We use Twitter as a primary communication channel for advising of report publications and inspection activity. We do not have a set target for how often we will tweet – it will depend on our levels of activity, and other industry activities and issues.

If you follow us on Twitter we will not automatically follow you back. Being followed by HM Fire Service Inspectorate does not imply endorsement of any kind. 

Availability 

We will monitor our Twitter account regularly during the working week. 

Twitter may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime. 

@Replies and Direct Messages 

HM Fire Service Inspectorate reads all Direct Messages and will take careful note of any emerging themes or helpful suggestions. We will also keep an eye on @replies and respond if we feel it would be appropriate to do so.
