Gender recognition reform: Section 35 Order challenge - petition

Petition for judicial review of the UK Government’s Order under Section 35 of the Scotland Act 1998 on the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill.


The Scottish Government has lodged a petition with the Scottish Court of Session. This seeks a judicial review of the UK Government's use of Section 35 of the Scotland Act to stop the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill going forward to Royal Assent. The petition is attached.
