Could you please tell me how many SG Civil Servants are currently earning more than £43,663 per annum?

Response

As at 31 March 2026, the Scottish Government employed 6,357 Civil Servants earning more than £43,663 per annum.

This figure includes those whose total earnings meet that amount or higher, either by base salary alone or base salary plus a pay supplement or permanent allowance.

Please note that the above data relates only to employees within the core Directorates of the Scottish Government (see Annex A).
