Rural housing funds remaining available for allocation: FOI release

1. As of April 2026, or the latest available date you can provide information for, how much of the £37m Rural and Island Housing Fund remains available to be allocated.

2. As of April 2026, or the latest available date you can provide information for, how much of the £25m Rural Affordable Homes for Key Workers Fund remains available to be allocated.

Response

1. As of 07 April 2026, £3.454 million of the £37 million Rural and Islands Housing Fund remains available to be allocated. The Rural and Islands Housing Fund operates on a demand led basis.

2. As of 07 April 2026, £18.911 million of the £25 million Rural Affordable Homes for Key Workers Fund remains available to be allocated. The Rural Affordable Homes for Key Workers Fund operates on a demand led basis.
