Transport Scotland: reconciliation of funds paid to Abellio Scotrail: FOI release

Information requested

Following the transfer of the operation of Scotrail passenger rail services from Abellio Scotrail to Scotrail Trains a reconciliation of funds was due to be paid to Abellio Scotrail. This reconciliation of income and expenditure was updated to October last year and the remaining amount due settled at that time.

Please can you tell me how much was paid to Abellio ScotRail as a result of this reconciliation.

I believe there is a public interest in disclosing this figure as it is public money, the matter is settled and as services are now in public hands, there is no prospect of another reconciliation scenario with a commercial provider occurring and therefore there is on commercial sensitivity about this figure.
