Scottish criminal courts verdicts statistics: FOI release
Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Information requested
You asked for:
An electronic table of national annual totals for number of (i) People/Persons proceeded against, (ii) Acquitted Not Proven, (iii) Acquitted Not Guilty and (iv) Charge Proved (Guilty) verdicts within Scottish criminal courts for the full run from 1969 to 2023-24 (bearing in mind the collection change from calendar year to financial year beginning in 1988-89). If possible, please provide the data in a machinereadable format such as CSV or Excel.
