1. I would like to request the overall cost of the report commissioned by the Scottish Government and carried out by KPMG relating to NHS Grampian after the health board was placed under special measures.

2. I would also like to request any correspondence between the government and KPMG relating to this report, before and after its publication.

Response

I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for the overall cost of the report commissioned by the Scottish Government and carried out by KPMG relating to NHS Grampian.

Your original request

Your review request

“I would ask the government to provide me with the information requested at the next possible opportunity given the spurious reason for not doing so. I am not asking for any details pertaining to KPMG's pricing strategy - merely the final figure.”

Our response

I have concluded that a different decision should be substituted.

On review, I have identified that the information was already in the public domain so exception 33(1)(b) does not apply and we were incorrect in applying it in relation to the final figure.

The final figure is £190,000.
