Information requested
Could you supply all documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received, minutes/notes from meetings, briefings and analysis, about publishing reports/papers about Scottish independence, from the last month?
Response
A small amount of information has been identified as being in scope of your request and is enclosed in the Annex of this letter.
ANNEX
The following information is an extract from an internal Scottish Government briefing document. It is provided as an extract because the document contains other information outwith the scope of your request.
Are any further independence papers planned?
The recently published “A Fresh Start with Independence” concludes this government’s prospectus on independence. The Scottish Government set out in the 2025-26 Programme for Government that we would publish a further paper setting out the economic benefits that independence can bring for Scotland, with economic decisions taken in Scotland, for the benefit of Scotland. We have now done that with this paper. And, we have also published “Your Right to Decide” setting out that it is for the people of Scotland to decide their constitutional future.
