I would like some info re Mhairi McAllan:

1. When was she appointed as a Special Adviser?

2. What was her role as a Special Adviser?

3. When did she cease being a Senior Adviser?

Response

1. Ms McAllan was appointed as a Special Adviser on 6th January 2020.

2. Ms McAllan was a Special Adviser to the First Minister. Her role was to provide important assistance to Ministers on the development of policy and its presentation.

3. Ms McAllan was not a “Senior Adviser”. She was a Special Adviser to the First Minister. Ms McAllan resigned from her post as Special Adviser on 5th March 2021.
