"Can you advise how many bridges have been damaged due to renewable energy infrastructure being moved on the roads between Inverness and Thurso over the last year.
Can you advise how much more heavy duty traffic there is, bearing in mind that millions of pounds has just been spent to put in a new bridge at Naver"

Q1. Can you advise how many bridges have been damaged due to renewable energy infrastructure being moved on the roads between Inverness and Thurso over the last year?
A1. Transport Scotland’s Operating Company for the North West Trunk Road Network, BEAR Scotland, advise they are not aware of any damage to bridges caused by to renewable energy infrastructure being moved on the roads between Inverness and Thurso over the last year, please note this information is for the trunk road network only.
You may wish to contact the relevant local authority for information relating to the local road network.
Q2. Can you advise how much more heavy duty traffic there is, bearing in mind that millions of pounds has just been spent to put in a new bridge at Naver?
A2. We have interpreted your reference to ‘heavy duty traffic’ to refer to heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).
Please see Annex A to this response for details of percentage increase in HGV traffic as requested. The data provided includes all heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) recorded and classified by automatic traffic counters. HGVs within this definition include both articulated and rigid trucks, as well as any such vehicles operating with additional trailers. The data provided refers to the A9 trunk road between Inverness and Thurso, which is part of the Scottish Trunk Road Network. As above, you may wish to contact.
