Scottish Public Pensions Agency (SPPA) Christmas party funding source: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

As an executive agency, could you tell me, is your Christmas party funded by staff, or the organisation? Has this changed in the past 2 years? Has this been at the request of Scottish Government? I am not requesting a cost breakdown as part of my request, just the status of its funding.

Response

We do not have an SPPA Christmas party. This has not changed in the last 2 years.

We are defining ‘Christmas party’ as: a discretionary social event organised by an employer or organisation during the festive season (usually in December) to celebrate Christmas and the end of the calendar year, intended for staff to gather in a non-work setting and outside work hours, including food, drinks, entertainment, and seasonal activities.
