Scottish Government employment queries: FOI release

Information requested

1. The current annual salary scales for civil service grades C1, C2 and C3.

2. The current number of individuals employed in each of these grades, can you also provide the figure as a “full time equivalent” as I am trying to get a sense of how many posts are full time v part time?

3. In each of the past two years can you say how many vacancies there have been at grades C2 and C3?

4. For each of those vacancies can you say on average how many applicants, both internal and external, there were for the post?

5. And finally in relation to part time v full time employment are you able to identify or say whether any of the posts at grades C2 and C3 are available only on a full time basis? If so can you say which full time only posts they are?

3 & 4. Please see table in Annex A The Scottish Government implemented an new HR Recruitment and Finance system in Oct 2024, replacing our legacy HR and Finance systems.
