Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
Information requested
All notes/minutes from meetings and correspondence and briefings for meetings held by Jenni Minto and/or the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer with Community Pharmacy Scotland, from the last six months about flu jabs.
Response
In the last six months, there was one meeting between the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer (CPO), Professor Alison Strath, and representatives from Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS) where flu vaccinations were discussed. This meeting occurred via MS Teams on Wednesday the 22 January 2025 and was of an informal nature between the CPO and CPS. A note of this meeting has been released. Within the enclosures, redactions have been made under section 38(1)(b). An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to some of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party, i.e. the names/contact details of individuals, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 6 of the General Data Protection.
At no time during the last six months has the Minister for Public Health and Women’s Health been in a meeting with CPS where flu vaccinations have been discussed (either as a tabled agenda item or outwith the meeting agenda).
