Rhu road traffic collision statistics: FOI release

Information requested

Information about road traffic collisions in the village of Rhu in Argyll & Bute. From Ardencaple at the start of the village to Shandon.

I want information on all incidents including those which resulted in no injury, injury or fatalities for the following time periods: 2015 until 2025 inclusive.

If the total data for these years is too large for a single request, please split this into ten separate requests, one for each year.

Response

The records we hold relate to collisions where someone is injured or killed, and which become known to Police Scotland. Therefore, we do not hold data where a collision was damage only.

The following table provides the number of injury collisions recorded as taking place in Rhu. More detailed information on these collisions can be found in the attached spreadsheet.

Please note that figures for 2024 and 2025 are provisional, as they are based on monthly returns received thus far from Police Scotland in 2025, with the most recent returns being received on 10th January 2025. This may be an incomplete picture of casualties up to that date due to a slight lag between records processed by Police Scotland and data availability. These figures are also subject to change due to subsequent corrections and late records.
