Question 2 – How many play parks have been renewed/improved in this time and list them.
Local Authorities report annually every April on their play park renewals. A total of 887 play parks have been renewed, or are in the process of being renewed, up to April 2024. Local Authorities are not required to list the names or locations of every play park that has been renewed.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. However, you may wish to contact each local authority separately who may be able to help you. The reasons why we do not have the information are explained in the Annex to this letter.
