Questions formulated for the National Speed Management Review consultation: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.


Information requested

1. Were the questions in the consultation formulated "in house" i.e. by civil servants employed by the relevant department?

2. If civil servants did not formulate the questions, who did? Specifically, I would like to know if this was an independent consultant, consultancy company or special adviser.

3. Whoever was responsible for the questions, I would like to know the approximate cost to the tax payer of constructing the questionnaire.

Response

1. The consultation questions for the National Speed Management Review were developed by Scottish Government officials within Transport Scotland.

2. As detailed above, the questions were developed in house.

3. The in-house project team responsible for developing the consultation questions included the following full-time equivalent (FTE) staff:

  • 1 x B2 grade FTE
  • 1 x B3 grade FTE
  • 1 x C1 grade FTE
