Response
Our 10-Year National Strategy for Economic Transformation was published in March 2022, which sets out our vision to create a wellbeing economy: a society that is thriving across economic, social and environmental dimensions, and that delivers prosperity for all Scotland's people and places. The delivery board is made up of business representatives who hold the public, private and third sector delivery partners of National Strategy of Economic Transformation (NSET) to account.
As co-chair of the NSET Delivery Board, Barry White, is entitled to receive a fee of £500 for every day of not less than 7.5 hours devoted to performing co-chair functions, up to a maximum total fee of £24,000 per financial year.
As stated in members’ contract of appointment, members of the NSET Delivery Board are entitled to be reimbursed by the Board for expenses that appear to it to be necessary or expedient for the proper discharge of carrying out delivery board functions. Members are also entitled to receive reimbursement for travel and subsistence when performing functions. Members may also receive remuneration where a loss has been incurred through the exercise of functions upon reasonable evidence of that loss. This is limited to a payment of £250 for every day of not less than 7.5 hours and must not exceed £3,000 per financial year.
