Information requested

1) On how many occasions has Transport Scotland been made aware of damage to Low Emission Zone signage, road markings and fixed enforcement infrastructure around/in Glasgow since June 1st 2023? If you could please break this information down on a monthly basis.

2) On how many occasions has Transport Scotland been made aware of Low Emission Zone signage, road markings and fixed enforcement infrastructure being vandalised around/in Glasgow since June 1st 2023? If you could please break this information down on a monthly basis.

3) What are the total cost of repairs to Transport Scotland to Low Emission Zone signage, road markings and fixed enforcement infrastructure around/in Glasgow - since August 1st 2023? If you could please break this information down on a monthly basis.

Response

Transport Scotland are not aware of any damage or vandalism to Low Emission Zone (LEZ) signage, road markings or fixed enforcement infrastructure in or around Glasgow since 1 June 2023.

As such, there were no incurred expenses to Transport Scotland in relation to repairs of LEZ signage, road markings or fixed enforcement infrastructure in or around Glasgow since 1 August 2023.

The LEZ is administered and enforced by Glasgow City Council (GCC) and therefore operation and maintenance of the equipment on local roads is a matter for GCC. If you wish to contact GCC they can be reached at the email address below: LEZ@glasgow.gov.uk
