Information requested

"Full details on Scottish Government funding of all LGBTQ charities and organisations over the last three years and the funding allocated to all LGBT groups over the next 12 months? This should include all funds allocated to Scottish Trans, Stonewall Scotland, the Scottish Trans Alliance, Mutual Aid Trans Edinburgh, LGBT Youth Scotland and any and all other LGTBQ groups which receive public funds within the time period specified and the coming financial year."


The Scottish Government has provided funding to LGBTQI+ organisations through the Equality and Human Rights Fund. This information is available in the public domain and can be found at for the years 2017 to 2021 and at for the years 2021 to 2024.

Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.

Additional funding which has been granted to LGBTQI+ organisations since 1st April 2021 is attached as an Excel spreadsheet.

With regards to your request for “funding allocated to all LGBT groups over the next 12 months", under section 17(1) of FOISA the Scottish Government cannot meet this request as it does not hold the information you have requested.
