Information requested
Information from the following working groups: Scottish Road Research Board, Road Traffic Fatality Working Group and the Transport Scotland Pavement Working Group:
- All of the published, internal or external, research papers that were carried out by the Scottish Road Research Board from 2011 onwards.
- All of the recommendations and guidance issued by the Scottish Road Research Board from 2011 onwards
- All of the published, internal or external, research papers that were carried out by the Road Traffic Fatality Working Group since 2021.
- All of the recommendations and guidance issued by the Road Traffic Fatality Working Group since 2021
- All of the published, internal or external, research papers that were carried out by the Transport Scotland Pavement Working Group since 2010
- All of the recommendations and guidance issued by the Transport Scotland Pavement Working Group since 2010.
Response
To aid with my response I have retained the numbering from your request above:
1. SRRB published reports are available on the TS website: Scottish Road Research Board | Completed research projects | Transport Scotland.
2. The SRRB has issued no guidance or recommendations.
3. There has been no published internal or external research papers carried out by the Road Traffic Fatality working group.
4. There has been no recommendations and guidance issued by the Road Traffic Fatality working group.
5. The Transport Scotland Pavement Forum has led to both Published Papers and Transport Scotland Interim Amendments (TSIA).

6. There is no list of formal Recommendations or Guidance that has been issued by the Transport Scotland Pavement Forum. Some recommendations and guidance are recorded in the meeting minutes which are then circulated to the attendees as well as corresponding members of the Forum for dissemination as attendees see fit. Ultimately, any such output will be translated, in due course, into public documentation within, for example design standards, construction specifications, TSIAs, Term Maintenance contract requirements, or Employer’s Requirements for Major Projects.
