Promise Partnership and Corra Foundation funds: FOI release

Information requested

• Details of each meeting that has taken place between Scottish Government officials with representatives of the Corra Foundation between January 1st 2017 and October 13th 2023.
• Details of the decision makers panel for all funds related to, and distributed, the Promise. Also can you please provide details of the process by which they are chosen and the Scottish Government role within that process. Details should also include membership of the panel, the criteria for membership and the initial call out for applications to join the panel.
• Copies of each audit/evaluation report sent to the Scottish Government by the Corra Foundation in relation to their work and the distribution of funds, re the Promise, on behalf of the Scottish Government.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some the information you have requested because an exemptions under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why that exemptions applies are explained below.

An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to a small amount of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party, i.e. names, email addresses and contact details, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018.

This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
