The following information for the following working groups:
- LEZ Leadership Group

1. What was the date of formation of these groups?
2. Who is a member of these group?
3. What is the cost to the Scottish Government of operating these group from the date of formation to 4/10/23?
4. Are any members of these group renumerated (sic), if so what for?
Response
The answer to your question is as follows:-
The LEZ Leadership Group met for the first time on 13/12/2017. Membership of the group is made up of Scottish Ministers (the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Net Zero and Just Transition and the Minister for Transport) the four LEZ local authorities (Glasgow City Council, City of Edinburgh Council, Dundee City Council, Aberdeen City Council), the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Public Health Scotland (formerly Health Protection Scotland) and Transport Scotland.
The LEZ Communications Group met for the first time on 26/11/2019. Membership of the group is made up of Transport Scotland supported by the Big Partnership, and the four LEZ local authorities (Glasgow City Council, City of Edinburgh Council, Dundee City Council, Aberdeen City Council).
The LEZ Consistency Group met for the first time on 7/3/2023. Membership of the group is made up of Transport Scotland and the four LEZ local authorities (Glasgow City Council, City of Edinburgh Council, Dundee City Council, Aberdeen City Council).
The LEZ Enforcement Group met for the first time on 6/11/2019. Membership of the group is made up of Transport Scotland and the four LEZ local authorities (Glasgow City Council, City of Edinburgh Council, Dundee City Council, Aberdeen City Council).
There is no directly attributable cost to the Scottish Government for operating these groups, other than staff time to prepare for and attend meetings.
No members of any of the groups are remunerated by the Scottish Government beyond salaried Transport Scotland officials doing this work as part of their routine duties.
