Information requested

You asked for (1) the number of letters of correspondence from MSP Rachel Hamilton regarding the Waverley Line [Borders Rail] extension from Tweedbank to Carlisle to the Scottish Government Transport Minister and vice versa (which i have assumed, for consistency, to be for the same two year period as the second part of your request)Íž and (2) the number of meetings between MSP Rachel Hamilton, or MP John Lamont or Scottish Borders Council with the Minister for Transport in the last two years regarding the [Borders Rail] extension.

The answer to your question (1) is, between 31 August 2021 and 31 August 2023, regarding the Borders Rail extension, one letter was sent from Rachael Hamilton MSP to the Minister for Transport, and one letter was sent from the Minister for Transport to Rachael Hamilton MSP. The answer to your question (2) is, over the same time period, there have been two meetings in which the Minister for Transport and Scottish Borders Council were in attendance and in which a discussion regarding Borders Rail was included on the agenda. There were no meetings between the Minister for Transport and either Rachel Hamilton MSP or John Lamont MP regarding the Borders Rail extension over this period.
