1. The number of vacancies currently advertised Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)?
2. How long these vacancies have been advertised for?

I am able to provide some of the information you requested. The answer to your first two questions is below.

By way of background, NHS Education for Scotland (NES) define vacancies as "a post which has been cleared for advert after being through the redeployment process (internal or external advert) and remains a vacancy until an individual starts in the post". You may wish to get in touch with NES for further information in relation to NHS workforce.

The NES Turas Data Intelligence CAMHS dashboard provides the information below. You may also find their user guidance as well as the general workforce publication useful. As requested:

1. The number of vacancies currently advertised Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)?

• At December 2022, the number of vacancies was 190 Whole Time Equivalent (WTE) for NHS Scotland.

2. How long these vacancies have been advertised for?

• Of the 190 WTE vacancies, 100.8 had been advertised for 0-3 months, 56.2 for 3-6 months and 33.0 for over 6 months.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, I’m afraid that the Scottish Government does not hold information on readvertised posts and therefore does not have the information you requested in your final question, ie:
