Response

In your request, you asked for information about members of staff. Our response therefore covers Scottish Government staff employed in the core directorates (see Annex A for details). You have asked for information about suspension on full pay. Suspension is only used in very exceptional circumstances and in line with the ACAS guidance. The need to suspend a member of staff is kept under regular review. As at 15 September 2022 (that is, the date of your request), there were 2 staff members suspended on full pay. Both have been suspended for a year or more and their salary ranges are £25,713 to £27,335 and £33,120 to £37,936.
