The website mygov.scot is the Scottish Government’s place to provide information about and access to public services in Scotland.

b. How much it costs to run this website.
Mygov.scot is run on the Digital Publishing Platform, which also runs a number of other Scottish Government products, including gov.scot. The total cost of running the Digital Publishing Platform for 2021/22 was £1,925,134

c. Who has overall management control?
Mygov.scot is run by the Digital Transformation Division within the Digital Directorate in the Scottish Government.

d. Provide an indication of user numbers and other relevant usage data?
The website www.mygov.scot received traffic from approximately 9.2 million users in the year from 1st August 2021 through to 20th July 2022 (inclusive). Users had over 14 million sessions and usersubmitted positive feedback for the website content was 70.2%.

e. Who is responsible for maintaining it including costs of private contractors?
Mygov.scot is run by the Digital Transformation Division within the Digital Directorate in the Scottish Government. The majority of the team responsible for mygov.scot are permanent civil servants. In financial year 21/22, we spent £100,609 on contractor resource. Publishing uses contractors to fill roles where there has been an immediate need for a particular skillset (content, technical architecture, security) due to the team’s permanent roles becoming vacant.

f. Future plans for the website and budgetary estimates.
We are constantly improving mygov.scot using a agile approach and prioritising work based on research and user feedback. All development for the site comes from our annual budget.
