Response

Please see the below reply to each of your requests:

1. How many Scottish households have received a voucher from the Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS) to contribute towards establishing a superfast broadband connection in 2021 and so far in 2022?

In 2021, a total of 1,808 connections were installed in properties across Scotland as a result of the R100 SBVS with a further 603 vouchers issued.

From 1st January 2022 until 31st August 2022, 637 connections were installed in properties across Scotland as a result of the R100 SBVS with a further 376 vouchers issued.

This means that, since 1 January 2021 to date, a total of 2,445 connections were installed in properties across Scotland as a direct result of the R100 SBVS.

We are unable to provide a breakdown between residential and business properties.

2. How much has been paid out in total from the Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS) to those in recipient of a voucher?

As at 31st August, 2022, the total amount paid out from the R100 SBVS to those in receipt of a voucher was £3,085,626.37.

3. What is the total amount allocated by the Scottish Government to the Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS) for voucher provision?

The R100 SBVS remains open for applications and will continue to be funded for the duration of the scheme. As it is a demand led scheme, the total amount allocated will ultimately be dependent on the take up of vouchers.
