Information requested
I would like to submit a freedom of information request to find out how the extra £50million a year will be distributed and how much will be allocated to the Highlands?
Response
How the extra £50million a year will be distributed?
As part of the National Mission, funding is allocated to regional NHS Health Boards whodistribute these fund to the Alcohol and Drugs Partnerships (ADPs) within their respective regions. National Commissioned Organisations are separately funded to carry out work in many areas. Further funding is made available through The Corra Foundation, who administer funding on behalf of Scottish Government. These funds cover all sizes of organisation in terms of who can apply, from Micro Grants to multi-year funding. The Corra Foundation provide a robust and stringent application and award process, with checks and measures throughout, with support throughout the application process also available.
How much will be allocated to the Highlands?
As the allocation of funding is an ongoing process, it is not possible to determine future years funding at this stage. This will be determined in line with Ministerial priorities and decisions communicated as they are made.
