Attached is a copy of some of the information requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have the information are explained below.
1. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
It is the responsibility of each local authority to decide how much funding it provides to third sector organisations such as Barnados. As the Scottish Government has no involvement in the decisionmaking relevant to your first question, it does not hold records that can answer the question.
However, you may wish to contact the local authorities and COSLA who may be able to help you. The contact details for the Local Authorities can be reached through the following link:
https://www.cosla.gov.uk/councils. The contact details for COSLA are: COSLA, Verity House, 19 Haymarket Yards, Edinburgh, EH12 5BH, email@example.com.
2. Most of the information you have requested is available in tables 1.22, 1.22 2018-19, 3.5, 3.5 2018-19, and 3.6 of the Children's Social Work Statistics 2019-20 Additional Tables which can be found at the following link: Children's social work statistics: 2019 to 2020 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot). For clarity in regard to tables 1.22 and 1.22 2018-19, we do not have information that disaggregates this data by local authority. A printed copy of this information will be posted to the address that you provided in your request.
