Costs relating to MV Argyll Flyer: FOI release

You asked for the following information with regards to the cost of the MV Argyll Flyer:

1, How much was the initial cost to purchase MV Argyll Flyer?

2. How much (each year) have the annual overhaul costs been for this vessel?

3. How many times has the vessel being re-engined?

4. How much did the overhaul and re-engining project cost in 2021 when the vessel was out of service for several months?

Response

1. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Transport Scotland does not hold complete information that would allow us to provide the data you have requested. Therefore, this is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that we do not have the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have the information is because the vessel was purchased by David MacBrayne Limited (DML). 2. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Transport Scotland does not have the information in the format you have requested. Therefore, this is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that we do not have the information you have requested. 3. The MV Argyll Flyer has never been re-engined until the investment project this year which seen both engines being replaced.
