Please provide information on the export from Scottish Ports of shipping Containers in TEUs:
1. Total TUEs [sic] exported by ship from Scottish Ports
2. Total TUEs [sic] exported by ship from Grangemouth
3. Total TUEs [sic] exported by ship from Greenock
Response
1. 148,000 TEUs were shipped from Scottish ports in 2020, of which 129,000 TEUs were bound for ports outside the UK.
2. 105,000 TEUs were shipped from Grangemouth in 2020, of which 102,000 TEUs were bound for ports outside the UK.
3. 42,000 TEUs were shipped from Greenock in 2020, of which 26,000 TEUs were bound for ports outside the UK.
The information you have requested is available in the Department for Transport's Port Freight Annual Statistics: 2020 tables. The spreadsheet port0302 within that folder covers historical TEU data from 2000 to 2020. I have attached a copy of this sheet for your convenience.
