Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
Information requested
Details of Affordable Rented properties and Socially Rented Properties built and Affordable Home Ownership properties by private sector led new build starts and completions ready for occupancy from the period of 01.01.2020 and proposed for occupancy until the period of 01.07.2022.
Please split the data between affordable rent/social rent and Affordable Home Ownership properties within each of the following council areas of the City of Edinburgh Council area and within Midlothian Council Area:
Location/address of properties - I.e. Lang Loan/Lasswade Road, Edinburgh,
EH17 8SD
Name of development - I.e. Lang Loan, Edinburgh
Name of developer - Persimmon Homes
Name of Agent - I.e. Lowther housing / Melville Housing
Number, details and type of each type of properties in each development - (I.e. six 2 bedroomed flats/apartments socially rented, four 2 bedroomed houses affordable rented, five 3 bedroomed houses affordable home ownership)

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have this are explained below.
There are some types of affordable housing projects which deliver affordable housing but which are not supported with funding provided by the Scottish Government Affordable Housing Supply Programme. The Scottish Government does not hold specific details of these. You may wish to contact Midlothian Council on 0131 270 7500 or City of Edinburgh Council at affordable.housing@edinburgh.gov.uk for further information about these types of affordable housing.
Where a project is identified as completing before 01 July 2022, this is an estimated completion date which can vary depending on progress on site.
