The total number of prosecutions launched under Section 31 of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 since the Act came into force, broken down over years and by trial outcome.

The answer to your question is: there have been 2 prosecutions of a charge under section 31 of the Criminal and Justice Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010, from the time the Act commenced until 2019-20.

  • One prosecution in 2013-14 and found not guilty.
  • One prosecution resulting in a conviction in 2017-18.
