HM Fire Service Inspectorate equality mainstream report: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

1.Copies of our last two equality mainstreaming report.

2.The number of employees who have declared a disability.

3.The number of employees who have declared no disability.

4.The number of employees who have declined to answer.

5.Total headcount.

Response

1. The Chief Inspector is not required by legislation to publish an equality mainstreaming report. Therefore, we are unable to supply you with previous equality mainstreaming reports because there are no previous equality mainstreaming reports.

2/3/4. You have requested information on employees. While neither the Fire Service Inspectorate nor the Chief Inspector are technically employers, I have interpreted your request as a request for information on the persons who work within the Fire Service Inspectorate.

Disability information on the persons who work within the Fire Service Inspectorate is held by the Scottish Government and is not held by the Chief Inspector.

I am therefore unable to supply this information as the information is not held by the Chief Inspector. I think it likely that such disability information is included in Scottish Government equality reporting.

5. There are presently eight persons working within the Fire Service Inspectorate.
