What level of Scottish Government authority (i.e. the staff paygrade/Job Title) is accountable for ensuring the accuracy of information published in Consultation documents?

Response

The answer to your question is the consultation on the Review of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 was drafted by a B3 (broadly equivalent to a Senior Executive Officer) within the Family Law Unit. Their job title was Policy Officer. The consultation was reviewed by the Head of the Family Law Unit who was a C1 (broadly equivalent to a Grade 7). In line with usual practice, the consultation was cleared by the lead Minister, the then Minister for Community Safety & Legal Affairs.
