How many staff identifying as black and minority ethnic (BAME) are employed in the Scottish Government, broken down by paygrade, alongside the number of staff employed at each paygrade in total?

How many staff identifying as black and minority ethnic (BAME) are employed in the Learning Directorate, broken down by paygrade, alongside the number of staff employed at each paygrade in total? 

How many staff identifying as black and minority ethnic (BAME) are currently employed in Education Scotland, broken down by paygrade. Please also provide the number of staff employed at each paygrade in total?

Please note that while our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we have had to remove some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. In September 2020 there were 186 Minority Ethnic staff who declared their ethnicity in core Scottish Government.
Band A – 25 minority ethnic / 898 total
Band B – 115 minority ethnic / 4275 total
Band C – 39 minority ethnic / 1955 total
SCS – 6 minority ethnic / 184 total

Learning Directorate
In September 2020 there were 6 Minority Ethnic staff who declared their ethnicity in the Learning Directorate.
