Information in relation to the recruitment of the Team Manager Role for Social Security Scotland:

1. How many were recruited?
2. What was the pass mark?
3. Was there a reserve list of candidates?
4. How many disabled candidates applied?
5. How many disabled candidates were interviewed?

The information provided in this response relates to the recruitment campaign referenced IRC81310 for Team Managers in Dundee.

1. How many were recruited?

As a result of the Covid 19 pandemic no appointments have yet been made from this recruitment campaign. All candidates who met the minimum standard have been placed on a reserve list in order of merit. If Team Manager positions become available in Dundee within this time period, positions will be offered to successful candidates on the reserve list in order of merit.

2. What was the pass mark?

At the sifting of applications stage the pass mark in this exercise was 4 out of a possible 8. As well as meeting the minimum pass mark of 4, candidates were also required to score at least 1 (out of a possible 2) against each of the essential criterial for the post.

At the competency based interview and assessment stage the pass mark in this exercise was 18 out of a possible 30. As well as meeting the minimum pass mark of 18, candidates were also required to score at least 3 (out of a possible 5) for each of the 6 competencies tested through interview and assessment to meet the standard for appointment.

3. Was there a reserve list of candidates?

As set out above there is a reserve list which will be held for up to 12 months.

4. How many disabled candidates applied?

For this Team Manager recruitment campaign, eight candidates declared they had a disability. These eight candidates represented 4.73% of the applications received. The application breakdown is detailed in Table 1.

5. How many disabled candidates were interviewed?

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the information you have requested because we have decided that an exemption under section 38 (1) (b) of FOISA applies. This is because we consider that the information is personal data which, if released, could lead to the identification of individuals and contravene the data protection principles. Table 2 below provides some additional information:
