Scottish Government Freedom of Information response time statistics: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

"Broken down monthly for the past 3 years: The number of freedom of information requests that were not responded to by the Scottish Government within 20 working days."

Response

For the purposes of responding to this request I have assumed that the term 'freedom of information requests' refers both to requests responded to under FOISA and requests responded to under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRS).

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested in an Excel document to avoid any formatting issues.

Within the spreadsheet I have caveated the increase in working days that was brought in with the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020. These records are not included in the month total but are separated in brackets beside the affected months for completeness.

The months September and October are currently unverified as we have not finalised performance reports for those months - and of course the November figure reflects the position at the date of your request.
