You asked for the total deaths in Scottish hospitals for the previous 5 years from the year 2015 up until the end of October 2020.

The total number of deaths in Scottish hospitals for the following years is:
2015: 30,000
2016: 28,412
2017: 28,610
2018: 28,458
2019: 27,652
2020 (registered by 1 November 2020): 22,631

The figures have been sourced from a spreadsheet here for 2015-2019 (Deaths by week and location 2015-2019) and for 2020 from their latest weekly publication on deaths involving coronavirus.
