Copies of correspondence (emails, briefings, letters, hand-written notes, memos, minutes of meetings, minutes of calls and/or otherwise) between the Scottish Government and the Electoral Commission regarding the Referendums Bill.

Response

Some of the information you have requested is enclosed in Annex A of this letter. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, exemptions under Sections Section 30(b)(ii) – free and frank exchange of views for the purposes of deliberation and 38(1)(b) (Personal Information) of FOISA applies to some of the information requested. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex B of this letter.
