A copy of the Scottish Government’s internal guidelines for handling ’code of conduct’ complaints you provided clarification on 22 October 2020 that you are a ware that ‘additional’ guidelines exist since it was widely reported in the press that Scottish Government had failed to follow their own guidelines in the handling of the complaint against Alex Salmond.

Response

I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for A copy of the Scottish Government’s internal guidelines for handling ’code of conduct’ complaints you provided clarification on 22 October 2020 that you are a ware that ‘additional’ guidelines exist since it was widely reported in the press that Scottish Government had failed to follow their own
guidelines in the handling of the complaint against Alex Salmond.

I have concluded that the original decision should be confirmed, with a modification.

Due to your clarification I have included Handling of Harassment Complaints Involving Current or Former Ministers’ which was considered out of scope in response to your original request as it is relevant only to Ministers and Former Ministers.
