Information requested

Copies of any correspondence (whatsapp messages, texts, minutes of phone calls, emails, memos, briefings and/or otherwise) between civil servants, Special Advisors and/or the Scottish Government Cabinet regarding Boris Johnson’s visit to Scotland on 23 July 2020.

Response

Some of the information you have requested is enclosed in Annex A of this letter and in the separate document enclosed with this letter.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, exemptions under Sections 30(b)(ii) Free and Frank Provision of Views and 38(i)(b) (Personal Information) of FOISA applies to some of the information requested. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex B of this letter.
