Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

You asked whether Scottish Government has changed the following Records Management Policy at any stage in the last 10 years:

https://www.gov.scot/binaries/content/documents/govscot/publications/strategy-plan/2017/11/scottish-government-records-management-plan/documents/00528239-pdf/00528239-pdf/govscot%3Adocument/00528239.pdf

Response

The Scottish Government's Records Management Plan was approved by the Keeper of the Records in 2015.

The plan and associated policies are reviewed regularly to ensure continued compliance with all records management requirements.

Since our Records Management Plan was approved in 2015 our Records Management Policy has been amended to strengthen the messages within it and to reflect a change in the title of the business area which has day to day responsibility for records management within Scottish Government.
