- Could you therefore please tell me how many of the 435 equity and excellence leads posts were filled as of July?

- Could you also give me a breakdown of how many of the equity and excellence posts each local authority has been assigned and how many of the posts each local authority had filled as of July

- Was Tavish Scott correct to say the original goal was to fill these posts by August 2018 – if not please state the correct date?

- How much does the Scottish government estimate this initiative will cost

The information below is based on responses from local authorities on how many equity and excellence leads are in post, how many have a start date before the end of September, and also any posts that have previously been filled.

- Could you please tell me how many of the 435 equity and excellence leads posts were filled as of July?

Local authorities reported that 398.5 FTE (full time equivalent) posts had been filled. The data collection took place at the end of July 2019, with all responses received at the end of August 2019.

- Could you also give me a breakdown of how many of the equity and excellence posts each local authority has been assigned and how many of the posts each local authority had filled as of July?

The equity and excellence leads initiative is estimated to cost around £18 million per annum. This estimate is based on information provided by local authorities on the estimated costs of delivering in their respective areas.
