You asked the annual cost of the LSCMI Risk Assessment tool license and the total number of LSCMI’s assessments completed by Scottish Local Authorities from January to December 2018, including the average cost per assessment.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold some of the information you have requested. The number of LSCMI Risk Assessments completed by Scottish Local Authorities from January to December 2018 is not held by the Scottish Government. Each Local Authority holds their individual figures and therefore are best placed to answer your request. This would also be the case in regards to details of average cost per assessment.

The Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (LS/CMI) is a fully functioning case management tool and an assessment that measures the risk and need factors of late adolescent and adult offenders. This single application provides all the essential tools needed to aid professionals in treatment planning for and management of offenders in justice, forensic, correctional, prevention, and related agencies.

In regards to the annual cost of the LSCMI Risk Assessment tool license. The total cost of the use of the license from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018 was £57,314.25.
